The icons also indicate the health information for a dairy product.

The information provided by these products is generally not updated to reflect new information.DODCAV: Dairy Product Safety Act – Health and Safety Information Act of 2009The Health and Social Care Information Act requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) to update the Dairy Products and Food Products for Human Consumption (DODC) icon to provide additional information regarding the safety of dairy products.
The Dairy Product Data Access Act of 2007 required the Secretary to update Dairy Products icons to include additional information on the safety and efficacy of dairy product ingredients.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has the authority to update this information, as well as the information from other regulatory agencies, for dairy product safety.
