How Bluegrass Dairy Products are Making Big Changes for Farmers
- by admin
Bluegrass dairy is being taken more seriously as a farming commodity.
In addition to a number of farm-to-table products, Bluegrass Farm, one of the biggest dairy producers in the Midwest, is developing organic milk products for use in its Bluegrass Farms organic and organic-based chicken farms.
The Bluegrass family of farms has been selling organic products for years and now is opening up its Blue Grass Farm brand to more mainstream consumers.
Bluegrass says that it started selling its organic chicken at Whole Foods in August 2016.
The company says that the organic-focused Bluegrass brand is a great example of Bluegrass’ commitment to providing farmers and producers with high-quality, locally produced dairy products.
Blue Grass Dairy Products’ organic milk and cream products are sold through the Bluegrass Farmers’ Market, which was first opened in 2017 in the New York City area.
Blue Meadow Farm and Bluegrass Family Farms in Illinois have also opened organic milk offerings, but they’re also looking at more niche markets, such as small farms in rural areas and the Midwest.
And in 2018, Blue Grass also launched a premium line of premium dairy products that are organic and dairy-free.
Blue Farm is offering a line of organic, grass-fed and free-range chicken products, as well as other farm-raised and free range products.
These products are made with the best organic ingredients, and are priced in line with the Blue Grass Farmers’ market prices.
The price of a Blue Grass dairy product is determined by the farm’s market price, and Blue Grass says it has set up a loyalty program to provide farmers with a discount on their Blue Grass products.
